i saw a post that mentioned other bands that people listen to and i was wondering what everyone is listening to nowadays (besides stavesacre, as if anyone would want to listen to anything else)
i've been really into the new juliana theory cd. as well as the new thrice. alkaline trio and the new reggie and the full effect. and the new lagwagon. there's some good cds that have been coming out lately.

then I don't feel so bad
I get very emotional and attached to my music. When I hear something I like, I pretty much stop looking for other stuff. For instance, the rest of my life would be musically complete if all I had was Stavesacre, Starflyer 59, Fold Zandura, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky

aside from radiohead, starflyer 59, fold zandura, beethoven (and those i've just heard of, not actually listened to) i have no idea who those other bands/artists are.

Avenged Sevenfold, Trivium, Throwdown, 27, The Faint, Alkaline Trio (old stuff... the new stuff sucks), Madball, Brand New is always awesome, new Boys Night Out, old Further Seems Forever (new stuff sucks), and a few guilty pleasures thrown in there.... mostly stuff with way too much bass and far too few lyrics, haha.

yay for starflyer. I just had Americana in my car CD player for awhile. After that came Oh, Inverted World by The Shins. Now it has Lonely House by Grammatrain. Man what an awesome CD! I echo truthman's sentiments about living in the past. I don't get into new music very often.
Others I've recently listened to: Project 86 - ...And The Rest Will Follow, Songs to Burn Your Bridges By Blindside - The Great Depression, A Though Crushed My Mind MXPX - Panic Weezer - the blue album Ghoti Hook - their last EP (Amazing by the way, the best stuff they ever did) Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head Five Iron Frenzy - Upbeats and Beatdowns

i can't stop listening to the newest alkaline trio cd. i have a comp that a friend made me that has a mix of all their cds on it, which all songs seem good, but the new cd just blows me away. i find that as time goes on i like it more and more.
and i love john reuben's music. it's good stuff. a little different to help keep a nice balance in my music.
and the ghoti hook ep was amazing. i always wondered what another cd by them would have sounded like. two years to never is one of my all time favorite cds. next to me has to be one of the greatest songs ever written.
when i was trying to get my cds organized this evening i came across a craig's brother cd. lost at sea i think it's called. such a good cd. i felt like i was reliving old memories just by listening to it.
music is great isnt it?

Haha yes it is...
And tragicmishap, Lonely House was a fantastic CD! I think I need to break it out again. I've been following Pete Stewart for a while but I don't much like this new gig he's got with Marcos from POD.
And I remember Craig's Brother! Well, one song. But it was a great song.
