mighthavebenhur - that is the title of the song. i had the cd for quite some time before i actually listened to it. it's definitely grown on me over time. but that last song, that last song is just classic. absolutely beautiful. it seems like it'd be a neat song to dance to or soem. and then at the end where he just starts screaming. beautiful. i'm not a big screamo fan, but i think that in certain songs there are absolutely perfect places for a good scream.

What is the best CD to buy to enter in to the realm of Starflyer 59? Tough question. I suggest either Fashion Focus, Everybody Makes Mistakes, or Old. My personal favorite is Everybody Makes Mistakes, but it's kind of short. Fashion Focus was the first album released after they changed from super heavy to light but still weird and unique.

I completely missed Cave In's release of Perfect Pitch Black. So I've been listening to the four songs they have on myspace quite a bit. I'm really enjoying Trepanning. As much as I loved their "Antenna" release, this return to hardcore is awesome. I fully expect to have this album by Christmas.

Wow quite the combo...
I'm breaking out my old CDs for a while. hitting up a little U2, maybe some Portishead, some Rush maybe...haha I'm so not an old school fan but it's fun to have a bit.
Been getting back into the Mars Volta again too...

I've been trying to pay close attention to 2006 music so I've been listening to it a lot. Here are my favorites that have been released (or that I have heard) so far this year. Oh, and I have pretty eclectic listening habits:
Jack Johnson - Sing Alongs and Lullabies for the Film Curious George Bela Fleck and the Flecktones - The Hidden Land Umphrey's McGee - Safety In Numbers - this is an amazing album The Appleseed Cast - Peregrine - also, a great record

After all the Abacus conversations, just picked up Deadbeat Sweetheartbeat by TJT. Still not as good to me as Emotion is Dead, but had a neat bonus DVD with extra songs and other bonus materials. It was weird hearing the band talk about the theme being breaking up, knowing that they now have.

I've been listening to Flaming Lips, Interpol, and that Death Cab album quite a bit as well. Project 86 a little, but I have to be in the mood.
