I know this post has probably been posted before, but I don't mind not being orginal. I know alot of people don't like Project86 so this thread won't matter to those. But who here likes Project86's Truthless Heroes album? I just started to relisten to it, and I think it's probably their best musical album. This cd is freak'n awsome and if you don't like it, then I guess that makes you a loser (no offense).

I never understood why they got such a bad rap for it. Maybe Americans don't like being told that consumerism is bad.
There are some amazing songs on that CD, although the interludes do get annoying, so I can see people's point there regarding the continuity of the album, even for a concept album. DBL is kind of considered their best I think so any album after that is going to seem bad (Speakeasy to S/T).

I really like this album as well. I think their other albums styles more but even though it is different Truthless Heroes still sounded really good. I love how every song just flowed right into the next without any songs sounding similar. I do enjoy the interludes though. Schwab makes some very good points on TH.

I think truthless heros is fantastic. I must be weird, but for some reason I could never get really really into DBL, and I always thought TH was waaay better.
What's my favorite song? Last Meal. Guess why.

Well I'm glad to hear some supporters. When I saw Project86 at Anaheim for their ATRWF cd realease show, Andrew said something along the lines of "when this cd first came out (truthless heroes) no one liked it, but for some reason now people keep requesting the songs from the album." Maybe the album was ahead of it's time, who knows!

Listened to it again yesterday while driving, and I still really like it. Maybe it was ahead of it's time, but alot of the new artists seem to have taken bits and pieces and incorporated them into their music. Very nice the louder it's played, too!

I think it has something to do with what was going on with the band at the time. I liked it, but not as much as their other albums. As far as playability goes I think STBYBB was better, and musically their newest was their best to me. I also love DBL. Basically I don't hate anything by them.

Truthless Heroes had to grow on me. I liked StByBB way better. At least for my taste, TH was the transition album between when they were ok and when they were freakin awesome.

TH is the only P86 CD I have and I didn't really like it at first but it grew on me. Tracks that stand out to me, Know What it Means and Soma.

I've seen the new video. I think it is a good wrap up to the Spy Hunter video. Did you think anything of the light at the end of it? I thought it was some symbolism showing that Project got off track and now they are back on track.

That was sweet! I'm glad it was that song. It was perfect. Anybody know who the ill-fated singer is? Perhaps his name is Will?

I'm a big fan of pretty much everything by Project 86, so of course I think TH is great, although it is a bit depressing in places. "Your Heroes Are Dead" and "Salem's Suburbs" are two of their best songs ever as far as I'm concerned. The album as a whole though has some problems because of the annoying interludes/advertisements and a couple songs that I get tired of. I really think that, overall, the latest album (ATRWF) is their best yet as far as the combination of lyrics and music goes, but I'll never forget the first time I heard the first two tracks of DBL... I was hooked right then, and I am generally very impressed with their continued quality since.

Truthless is # 3 on my all time albums. If you read Schwabs book he and band hate it. it was "made" and not created. I still think that it is so fricken tight.
incase you were wondering, staves absolutes #1 and underoath OCS #2
