I haven't been a big fan of Further Seems Forever, well not a fan at all really. I didn't see anything really great about them and thought they were to trendy for my standards. I do respect them as a band, besides they were Strongarm. But this I must confess; I went out on a limb and bought their new album, "Hide Nothing," and I love it. This album musically is probably the best stuff I've heard from them and the singing and lyrics are awsome. I truly admire what they did on this album. It is a mature album, compared to anything they've done in the past. I love every song from front to finish. That's my two cents!

You aren't the first person I have heard that from, however, in my opinion, its not Further... They should have renamed the band to come out with this CD because it is 100% not anything like anything else they have done.
3 singers, 3 albums... on a role?

The first album is classic all-time....
Not too much a fan of the second one...
Really hesitant to pick up the new one...I heard that the new lead singer was just awful at cornerstone. My buddy said he walked away from it.
Thoughts from the knowing?

I didn't go to the cornerstone show because it was all the way to the main stage, but I saw the floods of people walking away from it. They did have a clip of the FSF show on the cornerstone website for a while, then they took it off probably because it was the biggest laugh I ever had.
I liked the 2nd album, but I think that is enough FSF for me for now on.

i saw part of that cstone show. yeah, it wasnt pretty, but im pretty sure it was an off day for him. he just seemd really nervous, i think theres alot of pressure on him to be awesome, and it was a huge show. he was also singing songs that the other two before him wrote, which wernt written for his voice.
hes awesome on the cd though.

Ok, if a band is awesome on the cd (which i really disagree iwth in the case of the new fsf cd) but HORRIBLE in concert, thats gotta tell you something.
I saw them live and seriously regretted paying the 10 dollars that I had.
When they played with Jason Gleason, they were AWESOME because he had so much stage presence. The new guy (havent bothered to learn his name yet) couldnt hold a tune, and didnt move AT ALL... and the fact that he is new to the band doesnt satisfy me on that one.... he's been in a band before, and he should know the ropes.

i dont know, everytime i saw jason live he was out of breath and desperately off-yelling half the words.
i should have said that its hard to compare the new one to fsf's former stuff, i really like it, but its a totally different animal.
and i still think chris should come back. now that dashboard is kinda washed up, what does he got to loose?

One....I was one of the many who walked away from the FSF show at C-stone '04. My friend Melissa and I were like "what the hell is this...and who's the old guy singing?" Two...I don't think FSF would ever take Chris C. back, ha ha. Three...this is my 2nd post

so, to conclude, the newest FSF is their best album, but they now suck live? i saw them in concert in 1997 with chris and i thought it was fun. i have never really gotten into them since.

I have never seen Further Seems Forever live, but I do know from good sources that they're pretty good even with the new singer. But I think what someone should realize if they're going to see Further Seems Forever now with the new singer then with the old one is that Further Seems Forever is OLD! Haha, if you're expecting them to jump around and flaunt on stage then you might as well go home. The only reason they have a young crowd following is because of their old singer. He was like the youngest kid in the band. Other then that, it's a bunch of old nerds playing guitars and I mean that in the most sensiable way. I'm sure they jump around and get into the music no more then Stavesacre does, because they're OLD! But in the end Further's new album is deffently the best album todate that they have created.

Dude, FSF's new album is AWESOME! Every song is solid and I agree with most people here, it is a good listen. Their stage show SUCKED! At the time it was the second most amount of money I had ever spent to see a concert, and I lost so much respect during that set. I STILL love their music, and his voice was good. He hit all the notes, but the guy is like 6'3" and carries himself like he's 5'7" onstage. He's not a good performer.
I don't think I was the only one dissapointed at the Bossanova that night. People looked like they were ready to go nuts, they were singing the first couple of songs that were familiar, but then they got to the more mellow stuff and I almost tuned out. I ended the concert just staring at a couple of the hot girls in front of me. It was a bad night for all invovled. But song-wise, I wish my band could turn out jams like those from "Hide Nothing".
They WERE my second favorite band till I saw them live. I was almost questioning myself 'cause Stavesacre was the only band I truly loved all-around, and thought maybe I was getting a little narrow-minded...but then I just reminded myself that FSF sucked live, and other bands are probably better. I DID hear that Gleason was a pretty good performer though.
NOW, Trans-Siberian Orchestra. There's a group that ALSO rocks in all stages of the game. Think the presence of Stavesacre, with lights and pyro and some of the best and most talented musicians on the face of the earth, and you've got a 2 and a half hour show that you wish would go on forever.

I doubt if any of you care, but I thought that Hide Nothing had some great great songs on it. It's the only FSF album I can listen to now.
Since I wasn't a fan of their past albums I didn't get hung up on the whole stylistic shift. They're just solid songs.

funny. i bought that record just like acerpone - out on a limb. decided to give them a shot. but that singer just always sounded tired. like his voice was constantly strained. maybe it's just me. then again, i used to listen to dashboard before i got into FSF so maybe i was hoping for something else.
