if you wanna hear strained, check their first 2 cd's. there's some notes that those guys couldn't reach, and that's what made the final cut. suckage. the new guy
JON BUNCH
(now you know his name)
is a much more solid singer and songwriter. i'm glad to hear that some others are echoing my feelings on this, because i know exactly one person out of the FSF fans that i know who agree. i'm not glad to hear that they're breaking up...yeah, they're breaking up.
i think the best thing they ever did was the video for "light up ahead". probably my favorite video of all time.

i really loved 'hide nothing.' i thought the cd was amazing. it was the first one i could really listen to from begining to end and absolutely love every song. 'how to start a fire' was good. their first cd i never really understood. there was a couple good songs but i wasn't blown away.
i always thought there was a curse with me and seeing further seems forever because everytime i got tickets to go see them i somehow never actually would make it to the show. that changed this past summer. i got to see them towards the end at a festival, and while it was an acoustic show only, i was still blown away. they performed 'bleed' which is one of my all time favorite songs. lyrically that song rocks. and then at one point the lead singer sang a sensefield song which i had never even heard of that band prior. since then i've bought a sense field cd and thought it was pretty good.
i just bought the goodbye album from fsf but have yet to really listen to it. sad to see them gone.

One....I was one of the many who walked away from the FSF show at C-stone '04. My friend Melissa and I were like "what the hell is this...and who's the old guy singing?" ha! jon bunch is actually younger than some of stavesacre. he looks a bit older, but he's really not much older if at all than the rest of FSF was. i remember hearing some kid say, "dude, is that guy like 40, or somethin' "? anyway, i really like Hide Nothing. that cstone show wasn't very good, i'll agree. but it was only the 2nd or 3rd show he'd played with FSF and it was clear he wasn't used to the songs yet. i saw them in a club in chicago that fall and he was much better...much more confident. i've since gotten a couple Sense Field cds (later ones) and they're not bad. much more pop, but i think that's not true for the early SF albums.
