Well, the unfortunate announcement that Stavesacre is calling it quits brought to mind another of my favorite former bands from which nothing has been heard lately: PAX217. Anyone else here know of them? If you do, what are your favorite songs of theirs? And will they ever be heard from again?

Not a fan, but after doing a bit of searching, it seems the group is no longer in existence. Its myspace has been abandoned since Sept. '06, its webpage no longer works, and two or three of its members are now in a band called "Avner". PAX info from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PAX_217(band) . Avner info from www.myspace.com/avnermusic . - tBC "the bearer of bad news"

With a few notable exceptions, almost every christian rock band I've loved is long since broken up - successful or not. Some after only one or two albums.
I'm pretty happy there's a nice back catalogue for Stavesacre.
