Should read "experienced poser" Not reading the whole post before opening your trap is a real crime. jack hole. Will you please quit trolling the thread? No one cares about your pointless crusades. Here is an idea, "speak when spoken to"

Aetherial, when you said "No one cares about your pointless crusades", that wasn't starting a meaningless fight? Your best bet would've been to stay out of the argument completely and just let it die, but you chose not to. Not the best move, but it's done, so let's all move on.
Shankle, you too. Just let this die, ok?
Let's keep this on track. You wanna debate, start a new "fight club" thread or something.

OK, after a few listens, I think the song has grown on me. I'll be picking up the album.

Just picked it up, I'm going to drive my wife back to work and then blast it at full volume. Imported it into iTunes - 12 tracks, just over 30 minutes. Sigh. I'm sure it rocks but I'm quite tired of these Martin Bros super-shortie records. Sure, cut out the filler, but blaaaarg.

The CD is Good, at best. Cukoo!, by far the best song. I know, Speed Killz, Little Lamb, Crazy Daisy are good, and the last few are ok. Only 30 minutes of music was a huge let down.

I think the length is about right. Style of music doesn't lend itself to long songs or albums.
Good stuff.

I'm going to have to give this album another day or two. I don't want to give a hasty review. Though, on first impression, half not bad.

My current thoughts are:
Really good stuff, but the album suffers from the shortness. The first few tracks stand out to me, and then all of a sudden: I'm at track 12 and it's over. It is a creative, unique album with a lot of great songs but track 12 is such a tempo change, it REALLY stands out - the middle portion kinda blends together and is over before you can register any particular hooks. There's a lot of good stuff still and Mark's vocals/lyrics are fantastic. A few tracks simply feel incomplete.
That said, worth a listen and probably a purchase, but if you're not anal about packaging like I am, get it on the iTunes store.

Yeah...I dont think this is really a "full-time" band thing...I doubt they tour at all. I'm sure they'll all involved in projects that are still going on too.
I sent Neon Horse a comment on myspace as to know my pick was as the band members and they never approved my comment. I asked someone in SF59 and his response was "dude...that is REALLY close, how did you guess that?"
My guess is definately Mark Soloman on vocals (have you seen the actual video for Cuckoo-He's in it). Jason Martin is the guitarist and Dirk plays bass along with Alex Albert (Project 86). Might even be Sam West on drums really. I think that Jason has been hanging out with all them a lot b/c this sounds A LOT like the Emergency/Enemy Ships project they all did together awhile ago plus SF59 has had members of stavesacre/project 86 on their last couple albums.
Do you guys remember The Emergency/Enemy Ships project? It was being recorded for Atlantic Records but it was never released. It featured:
Travis Zimmerman (Jupiter James/Bon Voyage) - Vocals Jason Martin - (SF59) - Guitars Dirk Lemmennes - (SF59/Stavesacre) - Bass Ryan D. (Stavesacre) - Guitars Josh Dooley (SF59/Map) - Guitars (on the EP versions) Frank Lenz (Fold Zandura/Lassie Foundation/SF59) - Drums
I have a copy if anyone needs a copy (or the mp3s)

I wholeheartedly concur with your projected members. I thought too that this isn't far off from the Emergency - Jason and Dirk. Neither does it seem to be too far off from SF59's The Portuguese Blues.
Also, the Emergency/Enemy Ships mp3's are in another thread as well as a ton of other Stavesacre related material.

Fran Lenz rules. It's for sure Mark and Jason Martin. No way in hell those guitar lines aren't Jason's.
I hope they tour a bit. It'd be a shame if this cd ends up dying on the vine due to zero touring or well, anything other than putting it out.

I supprised it took so long for someone to mention dirk as the bassist. It sounds a lot like the tones on "curse". Also, it dosen't make sence to me that the production on this Neon Horse thing is lightyears ahead of "HTLWAC". I understand different lables and and budgets blah blah. Some of the vocal editing is really bad on HTLWAC. I can hear pitch correction all over it. But there are a million different vocal takes edited to perfection. Its all a matter of time, which equals money, and it seems that T & N spent a lot of it on a band whos members are a mystery? This is like an episode of LOST, more questions than answers

Right now, my biggest question is whether or not Mark is gonna grow some long 70's hair?
