Okay kids, has anyone listened to the new album " ... and the rest will follow"? They had a great deal on the web page, buy the CD, get a making of DVD free. For all of those who struggle with Andrew, based on some of the threads and replies, this is a very naked DVD. He gets laid out by GGGarth, no rock-star posing here. It showed warts and all. Oh yeah, the CD KICKS!

got it yesterday, although i got screwed because I pre-ordered the DVD before that DVD-CD combo was offered. All I got for that was a $2 off coupon for the CD, which didn't work because the price on the CD was already marked down $3 for a new release! *sigh* But yeah, it's good. Listened to it about 3 times through.

Nice. I was pretty let down by 'Songs to Burn Your Bridges By', although I liked 'Truthless Heroes' quite a bit. I might pick this up. The songs on their MySpace aren't half bad.

So I went to their concert on Monday. There weren't as many people there as I'd expected, but it was still cool. They didn't look too inspired. In short, it was probably the worst P86 concert I've been to, but that isn't saying a lot really. I'm going to try and remember the set list. And its not in order except for the first one. I can't even remember the song they played last isn't that sad?
Sincerely, Ichabod Spy Hunter A Shadow On Me Safe Haven Last Meal Stein's Theme Me Agains Me One Armed Man PS All Of Me Something We Can't Be Subject to Change The Hand, The Furnace, The Straight Face ...And The Rest Will Follow
Yeah, and they even played the recorded Japanese voice on PS. Looking at it now, it's a really good set. Something just seemed off though.

Wow. And The Rest Will Follow is I think my favourite P86 to date, and that is saying something. There are so many moments when you say "is this project for real?" My Will Be A Dead Man is fantastic. And yes it's good and heavy again, but also has it's lighter melodic moments. I like.

I just picked it up yesterday. Awesome. I must agree with mighthavebenhur, My Will Be A Dead Man is great. Definately a different sound from anything else they've done, especially in the vocals, but very well done.

I've listened to the first four tracks and it's already better than the entirity of 'Songs to Burn Your Bridges By'.

yeah, I really loved My Will Be A Dead Man too. "All is quiet in the dusty alleyway!" That seems to be the one that sticks in my head.
edit: This was my 200th post!!!

I'm really liking this cd in a way I haven't liked their previous stuff even though I've thoroughly enjoyed everything they've done. Two songs stand out for me "Something We Can't Be" and "From December" which to me is their heaviest song they've done. I want to like "My Will Be a Dead Man" but it's just too cliche for me.

Yup. I can't decide which I like better, the tracks that sound like the Project 86 we've come to know and love, or the ones that put a whole new fresh spin on their sound. Love it.
