Check out Dead Poetic www.deadpoetic.com. Their cd New Medecines is outstanding. Chevelle is my favorite band after Stavesacre. Their new cd is coming out 9/21/04 and I cannot wait. Vitamin R (their new single) is being played on the radio, and its absolutely beautiful. www.chevelleinc.com

oh yeah, those two bands are awsome! I've seen Chevelle twice, once with Dredge and the other with Stone Sour. And I've seen Dead Poetic a few times; The first time with Embodyment (RIP), three times with Project and one of those shows was with the Summer of Darkness tour! Sweet show, Demon Hunter, Project86, Dead Poetic, and Haste the Day, all in one! anyone jealous? Anyways......Everyone get the new Dead Poetic and deffently the new chevelle!

Denison Marrs has a really clean sound to them. I like it. I've only heard the older stuff of theirs though.

I just saw Dead Poetic last night with Acceptance and Ana Divine, at Will's Pub in Orlando. Honestly it was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Non-stop rock. Anyone that's even remotely interested in any of these bands should check out the tour. They play Tampa tonight. www.deadpoetic.com. Seriously see this band.

Has anyone listened to Nightwish? I got their latest CD the other day.
Oh. My. Word.
The used the same orchestra that did the Lord of the Rings movies, and I've never heard a band sounding so huge.
My word.

www.thehouseofheroes.comthey're not your average rock and roll. they're pretty darn awesome. and of course, dead poetic is more than amazing. and seriously, really humble guys the last time i saw them [which was the second show at cstone - poor brandon]. a couple of us saw them when they were ... hahaha ... the terrible band they were before who they are now, and they are some of the nicest, most sincere guys you could ever meet. i don't know about you guys, but i equate people's music to how they've treated me. dead poetic is made better by their humble attitudes. i can't listen to denison mars or pedro the lion because they were both jerks. so even if the cd's good, it doesn't matter. kind of sad when good music is marred by a bad personality. alternatively, i don't really care for the new anberlin cd, but i'm always going to love them because they are some amazing guys who rocked out for a crowd of 14 as hard as they did for a cornerstone crowd.

On the occasions where Tony has spoken with Dave Bazaan, he was both extremely pleasant and humble. So maybe he was having a bad night when you saw him. Everyone has days they're not proud of. (Or maybe he was having good nights when we saw him ) I definitely know what you mean though, about impressions of the band's personality affecting the ability to enjoy their music.
