My mom's side of the family all gets together at my grandma's or my uncle's house and we have a big soup buffet and then we all go to the Christmas eve candlelight service together. I have a big awesome family that all gets along. Even my Great Grandma is one of the coolest people I know. She is in a nursing home this year, so we are reserving one of their dining rooms and bringing the party to her.
And by "we" I mean "my family" because it is Tony's family's turn to have us this year. I'm sorry to miss it because it sounds like a blast. You know your family is awesome if a party at your Great Grandma's nursing home sounds sweet.
My dad and I usually stay up on Christmas eve to watch the midnight mass at the Vatican. Every year JPII looks like he's gonna just die right there, and every year he pulls through.
Christmas day is a giant breakfast with my grandparents, present opening, and then a huge dinner.
Wow, this was a lot longer than I expected. I am very blessed.

Our family has a three year rotation. The first year we go to my dad's family Christmas, the second year my mom's family, and the third year we stay home. And we always read Luke 2 before we open presents.

My dad's a firefighter, and he usually either works on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, so we generally spend one of those days hanging out at the fire station with him and the other firefighters and their families. It's usually pretty fun.
