I pledge allegiance to my newly appointed, currently still a band, favorite band, Project86.
Marc worked with them, once and toured with them many times. I feel that they write songs with as much passion and meaning as Stavesacre, and that is why I choose them.

PS they have a new album coming out in 2 months.

I don't think I have an allegiance to a band anymore. Groups come and go all the time. For the longest time I liked Biohazard, but then ...... I don't know. I like a good rock album, and it's a bummer when a favorite group writes a crap album.(no, I'm not saying Biohazard has done this) Project86 is good stuff. I imagine at this point in time, I would have to say I still very much like Stavesacre music. Their music is pretty timeless in my opinion.

Dude, Demon hunter is the sh*t. I forgot about them. I love the first one and there are a hand full of Summer of Darkness that I love but I wasn't so thrilled with Triptych. Some good songs but not as raw as the other 2. It sounded over engineered to me.

I've only heard the first two albums. I guess what your saying makes my case in point about what I was trying to get at earlier. Groups change and that's why now days I don't make pledges. It seems to set you up for disappointment. If a group I like writes a crap album, I'm always willing to check on them again. Music is music, and it changes as the lives being lived in the band change.

Yeah, Project 86 is a good choice: they're prolific, they have a great sound and interesting lyrics, and their latest cd is arguably their best yet. I don't really know who to pledge allegiance to, because Stavesacre has been my favorite band for so long. Maybe I'll become an emo kid because of the loss of my favorite band, I don't know.

i pledge allegiance to After Exile, Reform the Resistance, and Altered. gotta plug the local/small bands, I love being able to talk w/ all the members and being in front getting crazy. They all put on excellent rock shows, tons of energy and great sound, Ive heard project 86 is coming out w/ good new stuff but havent heard it, not a big fan of the earlier screaming stuff

I liked truthless hero's. I hope their new album that's coming out is just as good, if not better. I think I'll hang out and wait to see what is said about it first. Given the fact that there is a few P-86 junkies around here, I'm sure that won't be a problem.
