So now that myspace turned a comic book into a friend about a month ago, expect to see the first 50 issues of "The Walking dead" prices double by spring. You heard it here first It's the latest new comic cult sensation, and print runs on these issues are at 25,000 or under. 1st issue only had a few thousand printed. That book will easily go from it's $130.00 price tag to $300 by summer 2009. Also, during this (real) market crisis Marvel stocks have been going up the whole time..........

So now that myspace turned a comic book into a friend about a month ago, expect to see the first 50 issues of "The Walking dead" prices double by spring. ...so what's wrong with the last three issues (#51-53) that they won't "double by spring"? The only thing that would drive up prices would be the collectors who will only collect individual issues; the people who buy the comics to actually read them will go for the tpb's or hc's (that is, if they dont' just get the digital copies instead). Also, The Walking Dead is published by Image, not Marvel (your last line was misleading). I wouldn't say Marvel stock has been "going up the whole time". It is up 3.30 since January 1, but it is down 8.50 from it's 52 week high and down 4.13 since the beginning of October. HOWEVER, now is the time to buy Marvel and hang onto the stock for a few years. Next year will be a slow one, but 2010-2011 should be big years for Marvel (due to four big movies coming out). Note, though, that Marvel's stock is being driven by movies, not by comic books.

To answer to everything, I'll have to start at the top. As far as why prices will be higher on the first 50 is all a psychology thing among collectors.
As far as Walking dead with Image, I did fail to mention that. Also, I should of separated Marvel stocks from The Walking Dead post.
I mentioned Marvel stocks for those who don't collect comics. Thanks for adding details to that information.
