Yeah, i"m totally diggin this Enemy Ships. Jason Martin, really? no way, that's awsome. "Theme Song", for example, does indeed sound a lot like something off of SF59's Portuguese Blues. Sorry Don't Work is just so super catchy that I can't help loving it. Sounds sorta like something I've heard before, but I can't place it.
I remember a while back someone made a posted about 'Dirk's other band' Enemy Ships/Emergency, and of course I immediately did a soulseek search and a google search and found basically nothing. So, THANKS!
So.. 2 questions? - who's that singing? and - why the hell did this never get released?! it's great!

The vocalist is Travis Zimmerman, formerly of Jupiter James. If you like it, check out Neon Horse, the music is similar, but weirder, and Mark does some vocals on it.

Yeah, I've already jumped on the neon horse bandwagon. Don';t have the cd yet, but I ordered it and looking forward to getting it.
And like i've said elsewhere- I'm pretty convinced at this point that Mark does basically ALL of the vocals. (you've seen the Cuckoo video, right?)
ok, that's getting a bit off topic, but yeah.

did enemy ship ever have cover art for the album, or did they even get that far before they pulled the plug?

did enemy ship ever have cover art for the album, or did they even get that far before they pulled the plug? To my knowledge there was never any official cover art made. At least, I've never seen any cover art that was confirmed to be official. EDIT: Couple links I found: - this post on the vagrant boards with pictures of inserts of compilation/sampler cds that featured The Emergency/Enemy Ships. You can see a tiny picture of possible cover art (look at #6 on the 3rd pic and #7 on the 4th pic). Based on those inserts, it seems that the album name was "The Emergency", but the band name was both "The Emergency" and "Enemy Ships" - i.e., it started out as one of them, then changed to the other. -here's the fan-made myspace page, where there's a couple pics of possible album covers. No word on whether or not these are official covers or fan-made, but it's better than nothing.

Additionally, some people have asked about posting an mp3 of "This Madness". I move that, since it has been "officially released" (via iTunes) and is accessible to anyone that really wants it, we refrain from posting this song.

Those of us who can't access the US iTunes store still cannot purchase the song.

Those of us who can't access the US iTunes store still cannot purchase the song. If someone really wanted it, they would find a way to get it. Example: give a buck to a friend that can access it, have them download it for you. Regardless, since it has been released in an official format (even if it isn't "easily accessible" to all), I'm of the opinion that it shouldn't be shared on here.

I agree with carnage. BTF is not as "easily accessible" as the major releases is it? Should we add that to this thread? I'd say no.
This Madness should not be part of this thread.
Speaking of which I just got an iTunes gift card for fathers day. I'm going to download This Madness before the night is over.

I feel the pain of not being able to get it at Itunes Canada. Thankfully, my brother living Stateside was able to hook me up and so I finally got my copy. Great song, should've been on the full length.

Yeah, I know I'm lame! I have to go through what I have out the house...and figure out the best way to post it. Sorry!
Go check out the Photobucket site though, in the meantime. Details in the t-shirt thread.

Hi, I'm brand new here. Odd since I've been a Stavesacre fan for their entire career. Anyway, I'm having trouble getting these files. I got a savefile account, but when I go to the projects, it says there are no files in the project. Am I missing something or am I too late to get them?

If no one downloads the files for around 90 days, savefile deletes them.

Is there any way we could get the file repository re-posted? I knocked my external hard drive off my desk while it was spinning this past summer and lost all the info on it, so I'm back to square one on all this. I'm especially interested in the music.

I had a little bit of free time, so I reupped everything. Fresh mediafire links are now listed in the first post of this thread.
