I accept new people & i dont email junk, so piss off carnage. wow. just wow. I mean, seriously, did the not tip you off? You need to really expand your 'net savvy-ness (and your sense of humor). "Emailing junk" is only one part of the overall spam concept. Making a fluff post - a post with no real substance - is another part of spam. I mean, posting only "LOL" in a thread would get you banned on some messageboards, simply because it's such a fluff post. Postwhoring is posting messages just to up your count. Typically such messages are simple in content and don't contribute much to a thread. Additionally, a postwhore will try to post in as many threads as possible, and will sometimes "resurrect" long dead threads, just to post more messages. So whatever, dude. Be pissed off. You're the one losing respect and credibility, not me.

Yes the tongue did give me the tip off carnage. It's just you like to argue with people and I knew it had been awhile, so instead of laughing at what I knew was correct. I figured I would look up the meaning and say something open ended for you to come back at. It worked. lol... Seriously though, I meant what I said when I told you that I respect you Carnage. (back in the "how be it...." days) A lot of times I will see stuff around here that people say or do that gets under my skin. It's cool though cause you always follow up and pretty much say what I'm feeling. Like fan101 being so negative about this place. Personally, I know as well as you do, Stavesacre isn't over until it's over. I mean what's to say that one day after they have long called it quits that all of a sudden they go triple platinum. As far as posting on a dead thread. Dude, I thought it would be funny an so far it has been. A buddy of mine was trying to get some downloads for me off your (what ever site that you had all that stuff hosted) and I was curious what happen cause he was unsuccessful.

It is poor messageboard etiquette to resurrect long dead threads for no real reason. On boards even slightly moderated, such threads are usually immediately locked, and, if it's a hard-core board, the necromancer is banned.
Tell that to all the uptight christians who've been getting all pissed at me because I find it funny that they follow a hollow belief system, and call them out on it.
Additionally, your attitude towards things is one of the reasons why I tend to despise christians and religious folks. They play the whole "I can get mad and shit, but then I say I was kidding, so it's ok" game, then turn around and attempt to put down others who do something similar. Nice example you're setting here. And if you were "just kidding", what about all that stuff about how christians aren't supposed to speak falsehoods, be a stumbling block to others, or just try to coerce others to anger? Not saying that your actions made me angry (it just made me lose even more respect for you and your religion), but I find that somewhat hypocritical. But, now that I think about it, that's really what christianity is all about anymore.
Finally, how is my post an argument? It was mostly an informative post, seeking to enlighten an ignorant member of the 'net population. Again, whatever dude, whatever.

sounds pretty passive. I didn't say I was kidding. I said I wanted to leave something open ended. I too hate it when people say something just to get it off there chest and then say the whole just kidding. Hypocritical??? crap, I thought that was everybody who ever walks the face of this planet. Thank you though for pointing out my poor etiquette. But the reason I did it was because it didn't look like the guy got a ride either. However, I'll keep what your saying in mind, considering this is my first message board that I've been apart of. As far as you respecting me. I never really knew you did.

interzone thanks for letting me that you disapproved of my posts about the death of this board(not totally serious about that thank you), if you have such a problem with my opinion you can feel free to let me know but making a passing comment on another thread is weak
Carnage: To misquote a Stavesacre title id say ur "Looking for a Reason NOT to Believe", if your going to let some random guy youve never met or will meet negatively affect your thinking about Christianity then Id say ur looking for a reason to discredit this faith from the get go
talk about hypocritical, How about you claiming to be objective and sticking to what you know but still dropping the u follow a "hollow belief system" blast? I gave you a chance to state your arguments proving God didnt exist and that Christianity is a lie but you didnt seem interested. I guess its easier to take potshots. Show me why my belief system is hollow. YOu claim you call people on their unwarranted beliefs but so far all you have done is spout uniformed opinions about Christianity which disprespects the intelligence and humanity of billions of believers in every nation of the world
also I think its funny that u think that calling Christianity hollow/hypocritical/false is really going to affectanyone who believes in Jesus and his resurrection, Jesus has already risen from the dead and Ive experienced his presence and seen his power, its already over carnage the damage has been done, God is real and whether you believe it or not has no effect on his reality

Hypocritical??? crap, I thought that was everybody who ever walks the face of this planet. Nope, usually just those who claim to follow some belief system. Yeah, this fact was pretty much obvious. I'm wondering why you felt the need to point it out. As an additional FYI: combustion of wood releases large amounts of thermal energy. Not any more than I'd respect some random joe schmuck I'd meet on the street. And now you're less than that. Congratulations. To misquote a Stavesacre title id say ur "Looking for a Reason NOT to Believe", if your going to let some random guy youve never met or will meet negatively affect your thinking about Christianity then Id say ur looking for a reason to discredit this faith from the get go Not really. The fact that all religions are based on bs and inherently flawed is reason enough. Furthermore, I was pointing out how interzone exemplified the typical religious fellow. Sorry you missed that. I pointed out several arguments/reasonings/lines of logic in the magically disappeared "how be it" thread, but you ignored them all. So dont' give me the "I gave you a chance but you weren't interested" line. Showing how you yet again ignore/conveniently forget things I've said. I was in your belief system for ~20 years before I became truly aware of the emptiness/artificialness of it all. It is a hollow belief system in that it is no better/different than all the others out there. They all have their little rules that you have to follow or you'll face some higher being's wrath. And they all say their way is the only way. This means that one of the following "realities" must be true: 1) all religions are correct, or 2) none of them are. This statement just made me laugh, so I had to quote it. "I can't prove it, but I think it's real, so it's real". Nice line of reasoning there. The truth of the matter is that the existence of god has no effect on reality, thus is in actuality a moot point.

carnage said "The truth of the matter is that the existence of god has no effect on reality"
another opinion masquerading as fact finds its way out of Carnage's mouth, how do you know the existence of God has no effect on reality? Myself and billions of others say that God has an enormous effect on reality. Should all of us simply accept your personal experience with religion as the ultimate truth? Why should my experience of an active, involved, powerful God subjugate itself to your negative experience?
carnage said "And they all say their way is the only way. This means that one of the following "realities" must be true: 1) all religions are correct, or 2) none of them are.
This claim clearly doesnt follow. All religionscould never be correct because as youve duly noted most have an exclusive claim on spiritual truth, so all religions cannot be correct in their current form. Your other option that all arefalse also does not follow from competing knowledge claims. One could be correct and all the others wrong. Why cant one be true? Your either/or proposition is artificially created and invalid because you left out the third choice
for more brilliant dismantling of Carnage's pretentious assertions see the newly resurrected how be it thread because I will not be writing on this thread again since it will muddle the debate
